Abstract: MANETs (Mobile Adhoc Network) are distributed and self directed networks thatoperate without centralized access point and physical fixed infrastructure . Theyare more challenged and prone to attacks when compared to any other conservativenetwork. Black hole attack is one such attack that disrupts communication andreduces the performance of the network. Black hole detection systems aim atremoving this vulnerability. In this paper, we have discussed various techniques fordetection and prevention of cooperative Blackhole attack and provided acomprehensive survey on cooperative BlackHole attack
