Abstract: Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) have emerged as a revolutionary technology in the realm of display devices due to their inherent advantages such as high contrast ratios, wide viewing angles, and energy efficiency. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution and recent advancements in OLED technology, focusing on key aspects including materials development, device architecture, and manufacturing techniques. We delve into the fundamental principles underlying OLED operation, highlighting the role of organic semiconductors, charge transport layers, and emissive materials in achieving efficient light emission. Moreover, we discuss recent innovations such as flexible and transparent OLEDs, as well as efforts towards improving device lifetime and stability.
